Terms of Service

By creating an account or using The Sweet Life ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 16 years old to use The Sweet Life. By using the app you confirm you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Keep your email and any sign-in codes private. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

You keep ownership of the photos, captions, and place information you submit. By submitting content you grant The Sweet Life a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it within the app and its public surfaces (such as place pages and daily editions) for the purpose of operating the service.

The Sweet Life enforces a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to submit, post, or share content that is:

• illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, or defamatory;
• sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexualises minors in any way;
• graphically violent or designed to shock;
• infringing on someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy;
• spam, scams, or deceptive impersonation;
• misleading place information or fake reviews.

We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion, when this policy is broken.

Every post and profile in the app can be reported and the author can be blocked. Reports are reviewed and acted on, typically within 24 hours. Reach us directly at safety@thesweetlife.app.

Restaurants and venues can claim a place page and subscribe to extended features. Place subscriptions are billed via Stripe on our web site at thesweetlife.app; no payments are processed inside the iOS app. Refunds, cancellation, and renewal terms are described at checkout.

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you break these terms or use the app in a way that harms other users or the service.

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of place information, or that content posted by users is safe, legal, or accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Sweet Life and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
