Privacy Policy

The Sweet Life is operated by Jochem Schoneveld — Studio LUZ. For privacy questions, contact privacy@thesweetlife.app.

• Account: email address, and optionally a username, display name, bio, avatar, city, country, and timezone.
• Your content: photos you capture, anecdotes/captions you write, and places you tag (name, address).
• Precise location: latitude and longitude attached to posts and places you create.
• Social activity: who you follow, places you save, and reports you submit.
• Identifiers: an internal user ID used to associate the data above with your account.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting tools. We do not collect contacts, health, financial information, browsing history, or any sensitive categories beyond what is listed above.

• To run the app: sign-in, your daily photo, your circles.
• To show your posts to the people you chose to share them with.
• To moderate submitted photos and text for safety and quality.
• To respond to support requests and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

We rely on a small set of processors who handle data on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosting, authentication, database, file storage.
• Google Gemini — AI assistance for moderating submitted photos and text.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users.

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app; this removes your profile, posts, and associated content. Limited records may be retained where required by law or to prevent abuse.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Most of this is available directly in-app; for anything else, email privacy@thesweetlife.app. EU/UK users have rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

The Sweet Life is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
